Meet Anthony (Tony) Bufort

Anthony (Tony) Bufort is a seasoned software developer with over 25 years of expertise in web and desktop development, specializing in Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and XML-based publishing. With a deep focus on XML technologies and Java throughout his career, Tony has worked across small, mid, and large-sized companies, delivering solutions for various industries, including legislative, IT, medical, and aerospace.

Tony’s extensive XML experience spans content/data modeling, XML as a transport protocol, and various XML technologies like XSLT, XSL-FO, XML Schema, XProc, XQuery, XLink, and more. He has expertise in XML to HTML, PDF, and CSV transformations, SGML to XML conversions, and more, using XSLT 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 (and soon, 4.0) standards.

Tony is also proficient in DITA, DocBook 5, Akoma Ntoso, and many other document specifications, making him a versatile expert in XML-based publishing and software development.  And he is currently in training by HL7 International for their HL7 and FHIR standards in order to better meet the needs of healthcare IT!
